What would I ever do without you?

With a sunrise starts a day, all bright and everyone gay.
With the sunset the light has to always fade away.
Does one sit and reflect on one’s past,
Would it matter if you had come first or last?
How do you approach the Tomorrow,
When one does not know how to tackle Today!

What was so easy before is so difficult now.
When the years roll by, and the wrinkles grow;
Thinking and reflecting achieves no good,
When the mind is amidst a storm.

Every path appears strewn with thorns,
Corners are no longer rounded out.
How do you push to move forward?
When the leg you lift is stuck in muck.

It’s not the umbilical cord that connects,
It’s not the legal agreement that binds!
Standing behind my successes and
Supporting me thorough all my missteps.
In the face of unknown, the known helps
A mast can help steer a rudderless ship!
What would I ever do without you?
